In year 1 you will need to:
- Establish a Coordinator to:
- Liaise with your Travel Plan Network Advisor
- Promote and encourage sustainable travel within your organisation.
- Your Coordinator will work with you to:
- Gather information about your site to establish current issues, facilities, working patterns and policies
- Determine staff travel patterns to help your organisation understand how staff currently travel to work
- Use the campaign materials to promote green travel options to staff.
Based on the information you provide, your Advisor will help the Coordinator to draw up an Action Plan; detailing your organisation’s green travel priorities for the first year as a member of the Travel Plan Network.
For year 2 and beyond, your organisation will need to:
- Take part in the West Yorkshire-wide annual Travel To Work Survey, to identify any changes in the way staff travel
- Meet with your Advisor to discuss the progress made against your priorities identified in the previous year
- Pin-point areas where further support is needed
- Identify key priorities for the forthcoming year
- Promote ongoing campaign materials to staff.
