Further assistance

Other sources of information and advice

The West Yorkshire Travel Plan Network is here to assist networking within the local area and to provide support for travel planning through provision of a range of basic services. The supporting Partnership draws on its own experience and resources plus that of its members. But there is a wide range of asssistance beyond the Network for us all to tap into.

The Department for Transport and the Energy Savings Trust (a non-profit organisation part-funded by the government) both have useful information on travel planning and sustainable travel on their web site.

For information on basic Smarter Driving techniques, emissions information, and a driving game, visit the Department for Transport's new Act on CO2 web site.

The Association for Commuter Transport is a subscription-based membership organisation that provides wide-ranging support for travel planning. Some information on their web site is free to non-members, including the useful “debate” section.

Plus, if you need extensive or tailored assistance, then there are now many private sector consultancies who have considerable expertise in the provision of travel plan services.
