The Energy Savings Trust advice centre for South and West Yorkshire can now provide transport advice to your employees.
They are a government funded body providing free impartial advice to the public on how they can take action to save energy and reduce their carbon emissions.
Until now the EST has focused on saving energy in the home; but they now have trained advisors who can help your staff to reduce the impact of their transport . In partnership with the Travel Plan Network, the EST can offer your organisation and staff;
Smarter Driving Advice
Smarter driving techniques can be used for work or personal driving, and can reduce you fuel consumption by up to 15%. This means a 15% cut in CO2 emissions, and a 15% cut in fuel costs!
The EST can provide advice in your workplace by giving top tips to staff during lunch breaks, running events for your company and giving presentations. You can even book smarter driving lessons for your staff – contact the EST to find out more.
Advice on choosing a more environmentally friendly car
If everyone buying a new car chose the most fuel efficient car in its class, CO2 emissions from new cars would be reduced by up to 24%, saving up to three months worth of fuel a year. The EST can give guidance on what to look for when buying a new car, and provide the tools to inform decisions.
Referral of your business for a free Green Fleet Review
If you have more than 50 vehicles (under 3.5 tonnes), the EST can provide you with a free comprehensive Green Fleet Review, which is tailored to your organisations, and will help you run a better, cheaper and greener fleet (leased cars and privately owned vehicles used for business travel are included).
